As my professional background will tell you, I am a Finance and IT guy by trade. Whenever I introduce myself to other people, they seem to be rather surprised I do this, as they were expecting some thing more creative. As if numbers and systems cannot spark creativity!
…but they do have a point:
I like to goof around and learn new stuff. Besides that I can really appreciate craftsmanship and visionary thoughts, and I try to keep myself updated with this area a lot. And I like nice things, especially if it shows quality and passion from the people that make it. And thanks to Iris, my wife, I have been getting a lot more interested again in fashion as well.
My style of fashion is towards basic, minimalistic fashion, combined with denim and a wee bit streetwear. Many of the brands I like are Scandinavian, like Samsoe Samsoe, Filippa K, The White Briefs, WESC. Mostly peaces that can really last a long time.
I prefer to wear chino’s and jeans and my choice of jeans goes towards the raw, selvedge kind of jeans. I like the fact that the jeans start of really tough and get nicer and softer the more you wear them. I like the aging of these jeans as well, and some of these jeans have already been with me for over 15 years.
One item I did not yet own, was a selvedge denim chino. Up until December 2019, when I finally received my first prototype of what I would expect could be a pant that many people would want to add to their wardrobe. In this section I am going to explore the process that I go through to design, produce and maybe even sell the pant to other people as well. So, keep an eye on this area if you would be interested in having one as well…
